Birth is 1 Day.
The Fourth Trimester is 90.
Prepare for the Fourth Trimester Before Your Baby Arrives
Evidence-based frameworks for first-time mothers who refuse to wing it
I’M ARNIKKA
Founder of SuckleBubs | Creator of In Bloom™
As a Lactation Consultant IBCLC, Neonatal Nurse, and mother, I've seen how modern motherhood & our existing systems leave women unsupported and overwhelmed after birth, especially when breastfeeding and sleep challenges arise.
The truth is that quality breastfeeding & lactation knowledge is shockingly under resourced - and conflicting advice is a huge issue, leaving mothers feeling like failures, often grieving their early motherhood experience.
That's why I created In Bloom™
In Bloom™
Your Postpartum Journey, Supported.
We believe the fourth trimester deserves preparation.
When your baby is actually here.
When feeding happens every 2-3 hours.
When your body is recovering.
When sleep is broken.
When your brain is foggy. When your partner asks "what do we do?"
Those weeks deserve the same preparation you gave to delivery.
We believe you can't prepare for birth and skip preparing for after.
Birth is ONE day. The fourth trimester is 90 days of:
→ Your baby's brain making one million connections per second
→ Your body healing and transforming
→ Your brain restructuring for motherhood
→ Your family finding its new rhythm
Those 90 days shape everything that follows. And they deserve preparation.
We believe in evidence over opinions. Not "trust your gut" alone. Not conflicting advice from everyone. Not Googling at 3am in a panic.
Evidence-based information that helps you: → Understand how your body works
→ Know what your baby needs
→ Differentiate normal from concerning
→ Make confident decisions
Because instincts work BETTER with knowledge.

The hidden costs of not supporting breastfeeding
Doctors receive approximately 2 hours of breastfeeding education in their training, yet are the first to offer advice when challenges arise.
In contrast, a Lactation Consultant IBCLC has over 1000+ hours of direct clinical breastfeeding experience, over 95 hours of lactation specific knowledge and a health science degree.
Who do you want supporting you?
Feeding a newborn can take up to 42 hours a week
This is equivalent to a full-time job with no breaks or training Many mothers and babies cannot access the support they need to troubleshoot early problems like nipple pain, damage, engorgement, mastitis, drowsy babies and infant weight loss
Formula costs approx. $3,000 AUD annually.
This does not include the cost of specialist appointments and emotional grief that often follow when mothers don't receive proper breastfeeding support
