These Terms and Conditions apply to services, consultations, educational products and programs provided by SuckleBubs by Arnikka de Kort.
By booking, purchasing or participating in a SuckleBubs service, you agree to these terms.
About SuckleBubs
SuckleBubs provides lactation consulting, feeding support, newborn-related education and other professional services within Arnikka de Kort's professional scope of practice.
Services may include:
in-person IBCLC consultations
telehealth consultations
antenatal education
breastfeeding and newborn education
group education or programs
digital resources.
Consultations
The purpose, duration and price of each consultation are displayed at the time of booking.
Appointments commence and end at the scheduled time wherever reasonably possible.
If additional consultation time is requested and available, an additional fee may apply. Where further assessment or support is required, a follow-up appointment may be recommended.
Home visits
Home visits are available within specified service areas.
Travel fees are displayed separately and are based on the location of the appointment.
You are responsible for selecting the appropriate travel zone when booking.
If the incorrect zone is selected, the difference in travel fee may be payable before the appointment.
Travel outside the published service area may be available by prior arrangement.
Telehealth
Telehealth consultations rely on functioning internet, audio and video technology.
You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable internet connection and a reasonably private environment for the appointment.
Telehealth is not appropriate for every concern. If an in-person medical or physical assessment is required, you may be advised to seek care from an appropriate health professional.
Registered health practitioners providing virtual care remain subject to professional, privacy and record-keeping obligations. AHPRA
Cancellations and rescheduling
I would make this section match your actual preferred cancellation policy.
A clean version might be:
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may attract a cancellation fee of up to the full consultation fee, except where exceptional circumstances apply.
If SuckleBubs needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you will be offered an alternative appointment or an appropriate refund.
I would not use blanket wording such as "no refunds under any circumstances", because Australian Consumer Law rights cannot be contracted away. ACCC
Late arrival
If you arrive late, the consultation may still need to finish at the originally scheduled time to avoid delaying other clients.
The full consultation fee may still apply.
Payment
Payment is required according to the terms displayed when booking or purchasing.
Prices are shown in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Any applicable travel or other additional fees will be clearly identified before or during booking where reasonably practicable.
Scope of services
SuckleBubs services are intended to provide professional lactation support, education and guidance within the practitioner's professional scope.
They do not replace medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment provided by your GP, obstetrician, paediatrician, midwife, emergency department or other appropriate healthcare professional.
You remain responsible for seeking medical care where required.
Emergencies and urgent concerns
SuckleBubs is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you or your baby are seriously unwell, experiencing an emergency or require urgent medical attention, call 000 or attend an emergency department.
For urgent concerns about your baby's health, feeding, hydration, breathing, consciousness or other symptoms, seek appropriate medical assessment rather than waiting for a SuckleBubs response or appointment.
Clinical outcomes
Every mother, baby and feeding situation is different.
Although SuckleBubs provides evidence-informed professional support, no particular breastfeeding, feeding, sleep, supply, weight, developmental or other clinical outcome can be guaranteed.
Recommendations may need to change as new information becomes available or as you and your baby progress.
Group programs and educational products
Group programs, courses, workshops and digital resources are primarily educational.
They are not a substitute for individual clinical assessment or personalised medical care.
Questions discussed in group settings may be answered using general educational principles rather than individual diagnosis or management.
If your situation requires individual assessment, you may be advised to book a private consultation or seek care from another health professional.
Community behaviour and confidentiality
Where programs include group calls or community participation, participants are expected to treat other participants respectfully and keep personal stories shared by others confidential.
SuckleBubs cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality, so you should only share information you are comfortable discussing in a group setting.
Recordings of group sessions will only be managed in accordance with the terms communicated for that particular program.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, SuckleBubs course materials, videos, written resources, frameworks, worksheets, graphics and educational materials remain the intellectual property of SuckleBubs or the relevant rights holder.
Purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the material for your own personal education.
Materials may not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed, uploaded, taught commercially or shared with others without written permission.
Website information
Information available on the SuckleBubs website is general educational information.
It should not be relied upon as personalised medical or clinical advice without appropriate individual assessment.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian consumer guarantees apply to services and cannot simply be removed by contractual terms. ACCC
Privacy
Personal and health information is handled in accordance with the SuckleBubs Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.
Changes to services or terms
SuckleBubs may update these Terms and Conditions when services, business practices or legal requirements change.
The version applying to a purchase or booking will ordinarily be the version in effect at the time of that purchase or booking, subject to applicable law.
